In Executive Moves, BrightTag has announced that it has named Tony Bombacino as their first Chief Marketing Officer. In this newly created position he will be responsible for setting marketing strategy. In addition, he is responsible for oversight of all aspects of marketing including corporate and product marketing worldwide. He is based in Chicago.
Prior to joining BrightTag, Mr. Bombacino served as President and Chief Marketing Officer/Chief Operating Officer at Geomentum, where he was responsible for the overall go-to-market and operational strategies for a 400 person marketing agency. Prior to Geomentum, Mr. Bombacino served as Chief Marketing Officer at Restaurant.com, where he led a team of eight and was responsible for all marketing and brandking initiatives. Earlier roles include Vice President and Client Services at Resolution Media, Customer Marketing Manager at United Airlines, Internet Marketing Consultant at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting and Marketing Associate at Krumm & Associates.
Mr. Bombacino holds a MS in Direct Marketing from Mercy College as well as BS in Marketing from Saint Xavier University. He sits on the board of Just Food, LLC and also serves as an advisor to many Chicago area startups, including, Spartzmedia.com, Tix4cause.com and SmartRemarketer.com.
