Featured in an event organized by entitled “Web 2.0 and the Staffing Process,” the gathering was designed to educate human resources professionals on the latest recruitment “best practices.” As jobs have become increasingly more specialized, one of the greatest challenges in recruitment is finding qualified candidates. The Good Search, LLC has innovated an investigative approach to sourcing and recruiting talent. In fact, the Webcast was hosted by the firm’s CEO, who is a former award-winning investigative reporter and television journalist. Since 1999, Krista Bradford has built a successful recruitment business by leveraging the same investigative techniques learned and practiced in her prior career.

The investigative approach yields better results by surfacing and placing top executives more quickly and effectively than traditional methods. Moreover, it offers an unprecedented level of due diligence.

Secret to Recruiting Top Talent Reviews

Ms. Bradford shared her “secret sauce” for mastering the art of discovering top talent for some of the most successful corporations in the world. In addition, she detailed several dos and don’ts to finding and engaging potential candidates. Said Kyle Schafroth, who attended the event,

“What I appreciated was that it wasn’t just a sales pitch and that the information was well organized and really presented a solution. It wasn’t just some theoretical musings . . . Krista knows her stuff.”

“I’m encouraged that so many attendees were interested in taking a more serious approach to recruiting. For far too long, too many people who call themselves ‘executive search consultants’ have mindlessly gone about the work of recruiting,” Ms. Bradford explained. “The typical recruiter draws up a list of names, willy-nilly, of people that look like they ‘might’ be right. It’s guesswork that isn’t rooted in serious investigative research. What we recommend is an approach that maps every potential candidate at the top target companies, which are typically an employer’s competitors. Then all you need to do is recruit those individuals. It is as simple as it gets, but it is a lesson the industry seems to have missed.”
